A 35,000km cycle around the world...

I’m Ben from Wales, and as of the 28th of January 2024, I started on a 35,000km solo cycle around the world on my bicycle!
I began my journey cycling down through the UK (🇬🇧) to catch the Portsmouth ferry to Santander in Spain (🇪🇸). Then I rode across the North of Spain, the Basque Country, and Southern France.
Fast forward to today, and I am now cycling along the Cote d'Azur to Montenegro (🇲🇪) in 90 days or less!* (Thanks to Brexit 🤦🏻♂️)*
Whilst the primary purpose of my trip is to explore the world on two wheels (and eat whatever I want without getting fat), I am also fundraising for #ANDYSMANCLUB – a mental health charity offering Peer to Peer support groups to men 18+ in the UK.
The first leg of my journey will take me from Wrexham (🏴) to Istanbul (🇹🇷), spanning 14 European countries and over 5000km! After bidding farewell to Europe, my next leg will take me through Asia, traversing the Stans, India, Southeast Asia, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, Tasmania, and Auckland (🇳🇿), navigating through mountains, deserts, and rivers! I’ll then take a flight to Alaska and embark on the third and final leg across Canada and the States, to finish in Boston 🇺🇸!
Throughout the journey, I will post updates to my social pages: Strava, LinkedIn, Instagram, and YouTube! #worldbybikeuk, and as I gather footage from my phone, GoPro, and drone, I’ll put together a documentary-style vlog for YouTube covering the previous country!
